A friend gave me an air fryer for Christmas - one of the basket type ones. I want to cook some roast potatoes but don't want them to be fattening. I don't really want to add more than a teaspoon of oil. Would they be very dry?

no, they'll be ok. I use frylight.

Thanks. Do you par boil them first?
Use frozen, you need no oil. That said, the frylight suggestion is ok, but even with proper oil you'll need less than a teaspoon.

Re par boiling, even in a conventional oven, par boiling is best.

Thanks. They are par boiling at the moment. I will probably just spray them with some sunflower oil and hope for the best
they wont taste exactly like ones roasted in tons of oil

Just had a look at them. Not the same as when I cook them in goose or duck fat but then again, I wouldn't expect them to be. They do look quite good as a low fat alternative so I'm quite pleased about that.
