Well, I'd agree with the "Get a spine" bit. Let's hope Jacob takes over.
She's a bit radio on this subject.

///The former minister added that she is prepared to leave her party unless Theresa May challenges her opponents///

Just remember to shut the door on your way out Luv!

What she going to do? Join the Labour Party
The person to be gotten rid of is May herself!
Mrs May is doing a tough job, and not getting that much help from her cabinet or that is how it seems to me.
Yes, and for a tough job you need a tough person. Not someone who looks like a quivering, unconfident wreck every time she goes into a situation on our behalf.
"get rid of people who challenge your authority and plot to take your job" seems pretty good advice to me.
I'm with ZM.

I agree with what you say in principle jno but it really depends on what you think the overall numbers on each side are thinking, plus in the case of Government what the mood of the populous is.
cassa333, The obvious answer is for her to join the Lib Dems as they are the only party opposed to Brexit.
I agree with ZM as well.
May never was and never will be up to the job of party leader PM.
I still think that she was put into the job just to make a 'Heroic Failure' at getting out of the EU. The more I hear the more sure I am of that.
ymb, to judge from opinion polls, the opinion of the public is that the government should sort itself out pronto and get on with implementing brexit. Rather the opposite is happening. Britain is nearly halfway through the Article 50 period and has sorted out nothing, while the government continues to tear itself apart.
I agree with Eddie. The Cons knew the overseeing of Brexit would be a poisoned challis and May is the sacrificial lamb. Trouble is, I don’t think they knew just what a huge task it was. Double edged sword.
Agreed, but do they agree with this remoaner who looks to scupper Brexit? I doubt it, although I am sure that some do. So like I say the call is on a numbers game.
At the risk of repeating myself ad nauseum:

A majority pro EU Govt trying to scupper Brexit! Surely not?
of course it is, and I don't think May will be sacking anyone at all, she's way too weak. But nothing wrong in someone, even a Tory, saying "sort out this mess, sort out the party"; sorting out the mess is what May is there for, after all..
I think we pretty much all agree May is weak.

There is nothing wrong saying sort out the mess but sacking the Brexiteers (as she suggests) would certainly not sort out the mess or the Party, undoubtedly it would do totally the opposite.
it's the brexiteers who are lining up behind her with sharpened knives, despite not having had the guts to go for the job in the first place; they're the ones who need to go if May is be able to get on with her job.
They don't call Sozzleberry Sozzleberry for nothing.
May made a rod for her own back when she called the election last June. Had she not done so she would still have her majority and be in a much stronger position.
