Yes I’ve left it till this late to do my tax return (I know, I know!!). I’ve gone to where I keep my paperwork with my log on details/password etc - and I w clearly moved it!! Have tipped house upside down and no joy. What number do I ring to speak to anybody??

HMRC Helpline = 0300 200 3310 or alternatively speak to your local tax office.
^^^ Local tax offices no longer exist, Flonska. Everything is done by phone, post or online these days.

The HMRC helpdesk number for self-assessment is 0300 200 3600 or you can email [email protected].

However, unless you can find your existing Government Gateway login details online, you'll effectively have to re-register for the service, which means waiting for two letters to arrive in the post.
Did you create a document on your computer, recording your log in details?

Or perhaps a note in your mobile?

Mine was in - mid November
I have half done my return for y. e. 5 Apr 2018

honestly if you are this dippy - the taxman will dip into your purse, plenty plenty
Have made a note of those phone numbers. Sgt Troy was told by his accountant that he would have to pay X amount of tax by January 31st, but haven't had a reminder or a payment slip from them. Good luck Smo.
