Typical lefties, hate Nazis and the far right but the man that helped stop them is scum, a warmonger(I dont think he started it).

\\The cafe boasted a striking street art mural of Churchill’s two-fingers pose alongside the slogan “double shot”, claiming that he was ordering a double espresso. It had to be scrapped after vandals repeatedly defaced the design by spraying abuse including “scum”, “warmonger” and “imperialist”.//

Webbo..... He has killed your thread.

AH: seldom have I seen such wriggling.
TTT - //AH: seldom have I seen such wriggling. //

My faults are many - 'wriggling' is not one of them!!

But as I said, we must wait for SP to add his input - and I suggest we simply agree to differ in the meantime.
without Churchill these scum wouldn't have a voice.
makes me puke at the short sightedness of some people.
Andy...you wrecked a decent thread.
^Again.
ummmm - // Andy...you wrecked a decent thread. //

I responded to posts, which is what everyone is entitled to do.

I have the same right of reply as everyone else - if you don't like what I post, feel free to ignore them - as I shall be ignoring yours when you are simply rude, and not making any valid contribution.
Well he certainly knows his "rights"..........Unfortunately he has no concept of his wrongs.
Nice one, Togo
I'm not going to play games comparing this case to beating someone over the head.

What I think of Winston Churchill is of little regard here - however to appease, I don't think he was a War Monger though like all of us he had his faults.
he did, but at the end of a long day he and millions like him got us out of the mess we were in, he had his day and that day was war.
without him one wonders how we could have coped.
His parliamentary speeches are magnificent if you listen to them not just the odd soundbite.
My response was to a question posed to me - as to the OP , would these people have preferred to...?

Only they can answer that.

Since you have stepped up as a spokesperson on behalf of sp, perhaps you will provide us with the information on what sp really thinks of Winston Churchill (the best leader of our times).

Perhaps you also would care to give us your opinion on that gallant gentleman also?

Knowing you to be a stickler for Site Rules along with your privileged position as a moderator, can you chastise yourself for calling a fellow ABer a fascist?

A false assumption by yourself, others know different.
I personally think Churchill was a great man and it must have been very reassuring to have him around during the war years. The scum who defaced his street art mural were not good enough to lick his boots imo. I wonder what they have done in their lifetimes to feel proud about ???

As for a-h derailing a thread yet again, why don't folk just ignore him, he may go away then (lol).
AOG - I am delighted to answer your questions, as long as it is acknowledged by the Thread Police that I am responding to you - not actually attempting to 'ruin' anything.

I have no 'stepped up as spokesman' for anyone, so if you want SP's opinion on anything, you will need to wait until and if he returns to the thread.

//Perhaps you also would care to give us your opinion on that gallant gentleman also? //

No I wouldn't care to, thanks anyway for the offer.

If I had called anyone a fascist, I would apologise, but since I didn't, I won't. Please re-read my post carefully for confirmation.

Anyone is perfectly at liberty to ignore me - the irony is, they accuse me of 'ruining' threads, but still post their off-thread opinions at will.

There is no danger of me going away.
