Good evening
Following on from my last post re a faulty laptop/tablet, can anybody advise on how much of a hard drive's capacity does the OS use up on a chromebook please ?? The item that I have just returned was running W10 and had a 32 Gb Hd. 27Gb of this was being used by the OS and the pre installed software. I notice that chromebooks all come with either a 32Gb or 64Gb Hd and was wondering if I might meet the same problem.
Many thanks. Sorry if it's a bit long winded !!

Chromebooks (and the cheaper Windows laptops) are marketed on the principle that users will store most things in the cloud (or on external media). However a bit of googling has found one source quoting 6.8Gb as the amount of space taken up by Chrome OS, so you'll still have a bit of space left for installing apps, etc.
