When you bet on horses or enter the Lottery, you know the odds against winning, but when you enter one of these TV show's prize draws, you have no idea of the odds against winning. I know that the TV company cannot know how many people will enter the next "competition", but they could tell you how many entered the previous one, or the average number who entered each competition the previous year. P.S. Does anybody know how many people typically enter these prize draws?

Do TV shows have draws ? Maybe my memory failing, but I can't recall one. Most TV shows with prizes are some kind of inter contestant competition.

Old_Geezer, I'm referring to daytime ITV - This Morning, Loose Women, Dickinson's Real Deal, etc. The one on This Morning/ Loose Women is currently offering £84,000. They cost about £2 to enter.

Thanks, dannyk13. That's really helped a lot. Just what I wanted to know(!)
Ah right. A raffle on morning TV. ITV isn't it ? Not watched that for ages, not since the format changed. Loads and loads of folk probably.
