I'm not sure CAR has been found to be a great success yet has it? Goal line technology is a good step forward but I think last night's game showed some of the concerns, and it also raises the issue of how far you go- eg if a goal is disallowed for offside but VAR shows he was onside but clearly handled the ball when he received it, should the goal be given?
VAR not CAR!

FF , no the game has stopped time to review what happened and get it right, in your example it's a direct free kick to the defence.
Either a Sin Bin, or the Black Card system that they use in Gaelic Football and Hurling. The Ref can send off a player (If the offence is serious enough) but the team can send on a substitute. The downside there is, in the other sports the teams have 10 substitutes.
10 minutes in the sin bin just gives a tired player a sit down and rest. If his mates can hold out he comes back on like a fresh substitute. It could therefore be a disadvantage to the wronged team.
There’d be no one left on the field.

they'd soon get used to it ich, the managers would rain it in.

Already being trialled by F.A. in 32 grassroots league this season. Waiting to see how it goes.

great just found this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39790484 good idea it will stop all the play acting. Ok early on we'll have some bizarre games but the managers will simply install discipline in their players or they'll start losing games. Giant leap forward.
