Hit a raw nerve there then did VE !
No I'm certainly not complaining. You win some (which I have) and you lose some (which I also have). I was just demonstrating to anybody who seems to be under the misapprehension that all people who own shares are filthy rich fat cats, that it ain't necessarily so.

"But the point being is that our Governments ( of both political persuasions) shouldn't be giving out valuable public sector contracts to any company,..."

So what are they supposed to do then? Employ directly everybody necessary to, say, build a prison or a railway. Or perhaps they could get prisoners to build the railway, as the Japanese did in Burma a few years ago.
Raw nerve?

I don't like being accused of things I am not guilty of.

And I despise malicious people who make such accusations.

I do hope that makes things clear.

i seem to have acquired trailing fragments disease.

A friend had the joy of working for this company when they won a tender for the work he's involved in. They were appallingly organised, amongst other stunts wanted him to do drive uninsured untaxed lorries on the motorway. Numerous issues and concerns were raised about their working, and they lost the tender after 2 years. Can't really blame this on Brexit as it happened before then.
I have no carillon shares, thank goodness but my 'building company' shares have gone up from £7 something to about £27 ish. I'm still not a fat cat though. Although I imagine there are people around who consider anyone with a spare fiver a fat cat???
