i have just started reading my 12th Jeffrey Deaver book. i find that within the first few pages i am totally hooked. i can't put the book down!
does anyone else feel like this when reading a Deaver or other authors book?

yeah, he's very good. Michael Connelly I like too, there's lots of good crime writers, James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs etc and loads more i haven't had time to get into!!

yep totally agree i love his books, and with the others mentioned by teagirl, minnette walters is also worth a look

I love Jeffrey Deaver books and have introduced number one son to them. I've also persevered with Sue Grafton's alphabet set - A for alibi etc.

Did with the first few but getting a bit bored now with the "bloke you've been reading about turns out not to be the serial killer after all" and "agent unexpectedly turns out to be the serial killer" plot twists.
