I was going to post this in the news section but the story is three years old. It is still amusing.

That's awesome :)
If there's an AB award for the most eclectic selection of late-night links in Chatterbank, Wolf63 gets my nomination!

I wonder if there's a market for pork pre-marinaded in Castelmaine XXXX ?

So why are you up late again, Susan? Is it the steroid resistant moggy again? And where's your feline avatar gone?
Aussie road rage.

Having had a koala hang onto my body as if it were a tree, I can tell you that they've got very sharp claws!
Having said that you've been to Australia, you weren't that boozy feral pig by any chance?

The avatars is of my brain. I have gone off cats.

I seem to have caught a virus and had to get out of bed for a couple of paracetamol tablets.

Aussie land seems like another world. I think

"boozy feral pig" might have been a good description of me, JD33.

I was attending an international conference at the University of Adelaide, where we had a 'happy hour' (with unlimited free booze) each day. It was meant to be (I think) from 5pm to 6pm but they usually started serving before 4pm and the booze didn't run out until at least 7pm or 8pm. After that, of course, it was necessary to go to the pub.

When I got back to the UK I was meant to write a report about the conference but I struggled to remember much about it ;-)

(I do remember sitting through a 2-hour lecture though, where - like most people there - I'd failed to notice that I should have been in the upper gallery to benefit from the simultaneous translation on offer. Two hours of listening to a lecture delivered in Japanese is an experience I'd rather not repeat!)
>>> I have gone off cats

It's sad when an addict tries to deny their addiction, isn't it? ;-)

>>> Aussie land seems like another world

Except, of course, that the flu you've probably got comes from there!

Get well soon, anyway.

I haven't got the flu - but it might be one of its cousins.

When my dog died in 2001 I thought that I would get a cat. I thought it through, dogs needed to be walked and cats didn't.

I thought that mean that cats would be easier to look after. I was so wrong - they are demanding and needy and, in Princess Merlin's case, stupid and vicious.... a German Shepherd would have been much simpler to care for.
