It doesn't involve strength as an advantage so I don't understand why they cant play each other. i would have thought women would have been pushing for it these days but they are unusually quiet, cant think why.

Prudie, I used to think the difference was breast size, the men need to reduce theirs quite a bit :-)))

I can only go by pub darts and watching amateur comps. Women are pretty rubbish in general.

on thursday on channel 4 lisa ashton plays her next match ...try and have a watch she is great

Sue the guy who nicked yer ab-name :-D

ummm, sadly, the ladies are not as consistently as high-scorers as the men (in general)

Maybe it's something as silly as genetic make-up?
who on earth would slaughter you Volty?
(have got my angelic face on lol) x
I think much of it, pub wise, is practise time.
lol happy days down the pub playing for a pint ...helped me become a better player ( too tight to buy a drink) so i had to win
Lol...that was how it was played.

I was brought up in a pub so can play darts, pool, cards... :-)
ummmm bet you can tell some stories living in a pub
for all of Mr Alba's efforts to teach me to play pool, well, that never happened.
He taught me to play darts and my side of trophy cabinet ended up with more than his side lol

Am also crud at cards and dominos, enjoy playing them but that's it :-D
“It's like lady Formula One Drivers they don't exist any more,…”

Driving a Formula 1 car involves two hours being subjected to up to 5g and requires supreme physical fitness and a good amount of strength.

I don't know if it is still the case, but archery used to involve men and women competing together. In 1972 it was re-introduced into the Olympics and their were separate competitions but I think mixed competitions are still held at the lower levels.

There have been successes among the ladies at darts. Dianne Abbot entered a charity darts competition. She won by 3,007,756 to 97. I understand her total took her just eleven darts.
LOL NJ.
NJ LOL
Because they throw like a girl ?
It's not just strength and fitness in Formula 1. It's a numbers game that is best described as a pyramid. At the bottom are hundreds of young boys who usually get into karting because the have motorsport mad parents. At the top of the pyramid are F1, Sportscar, NASCAR and Indy drivers. At a rough guess I would say there is one teenage girl for every fifty boys. Until the girls can reach parity in karting, the will never get to the top of the pyramid. In America, Danica Patrick has been at the top of motorsport for many years. Sponsors are crying out for more ladies in the sport.
i wonder if it's something to do with the fact that when ladies play competative sport it's usually sports where you need some kind of athleticism.
I shouldn't laugh at OG's answer but I did!
