Another Hydrogen Peroxide Question

Why can it be bought easily over the counter in the States, but not here. Just wondering.

"Food grade" Hydrogen Peroxide" can be bought on ebay,
but this seems to be only 3% proof, so unsure if its suitable to bleaching hair Pasta ?

I always bought it for wound cleansing but hard to find now.


I know some experts think it's useless at that.

It's an EU thing designed to hinder people form making explosives

- hydrogen peroxide is a strong oxidant, so can be used as an oxygen donor - means it can provide the oxygen to make something burn, even when there is no oxygen in the air (such as if you throw water on it, or use fire extinguishers)

I always used it for wounds also mamya...no explosives yet.

In Spain it is used for EVERYTHING....wax in the ears, cleaning wounds and you can buy it over the counter..

you can buy 6% at the chemist, i used to but 20% but seems thats not available now (from the high street chemist)

Didn't realize you can't buy it anymore, used to mix it with some sort of powder to bleach our hair back in the 60s, surprised I've got any hair left.

Only a 3% / 10 volume solution is available for public sale now.
Anything stronger needs a home office licence before you can buy it.
