My current set up is - router is plugged into extension socket in study 4 Ethernet cables are plugged into it for computer, TV, games console and one into Develo Powerline adapter.
In the living room is the other Powerline adapter (with Wi-Fi ) which from it via Ethernet cable run the other TV and Set Top Box.
Quite frankly. if your not in the same room as the router the Wi-Fi is poor.

If I move the router into the middle of the house where the main telephone socket is and plug in the main powerline adaptor then use another slave adaptor as well as the one in the living room to run the computer off - will it affect the Broadband speed ?

Currently it is 8-9mpbs ad ands 1mb upload on the computer.

Will it change significantly if I run the computer off a slave?

No. Every other component in your setup is capable of speeds 1 or more orders of magnitude greater than your broadband speed.
