Well the last flutter of the year, so I have tried to winkle out a bit of E/W value. Well done last week Ken, I did note that your "banker" obliged. Henderson is looking good for the big ones come March and Altior is back in training for him as a bonus. Some machine that one. Good luck to all who have a go and continued fortune in the New Year to all.

Sir Anthony Brown @14/1 1.50 Newbury
Harry The Viking @11/1 2.10 Haydock
Wuff @6/1 2.25 Newbury
Crievehill @13/2 2.45 Haydock

£1.00 E/W Acca. 4 X 20p E/W Trebles. 6 X 20p E/W Doubles. Total Stake £6.00

Weirdly - and totally accidental, i assure you - i have chosen the smae 4 races on which to concentrate. I know you like to choose the races on tv but i do have access to all races so i often select those not screened by ITV.
Obviously the going is the key factor for many of today's events and, though i won't get rich with these 4 (should they oblige), i should at the very least get a run for my money.

Brave Eagle @ 3/1 - 1.50 New
Whiskey Chaser @ 5/1 - 2.10 Hay
Daklondike @ 6/1 - 2.25 New
Church Hall @ 4/1 - 2.45 Hay

Because the prices are a tad shorter than i usually do, the temptation to raise my stakes was there, but was resisted. I have, however, doubled the e.w. component of the bet. So, win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. £12 for 4 placed, £1,127 for 4 winners.

Good luck Togo (and all punters everywhere) and may all your betting slips in 2018 escape the bin:-)

Mixed fortunes; Winner (never looked likely until just before last fence), Whiskey Chaser looked like he'd been on them, really good ride by Scu on my 2nd winner, then Church Hall never got beyond the 2nd obstacle. £25 stake, just under £63 back. Not a bad hourly rate:-)

Yes nice double Ken. Just under 2 quid back for my efforts......still I can use it again in another attempt.
The day got even better, Togo. Did a win singles, treble and patent on 3 x 2-1 scorelines; Lincoln (won 2-1), Exeter (won 2-1) and Partick (won 2-0:-/). 2 correct gave me a £263 return for my £30 stake. Just re-invested £30(same bet) of it on; Porto 2-0, Rio Ave 2-1 and Moireirense 2-1 (all in Portuguese League Cup). Gives me something to watch tonight if nothing else and still leaves me well up on the day:-)

Shooting that Ken. I stick to the Prem. when I venture there. Only really have a flutter on the nags. Used to do an Acca for prem. results and not so far back had a £1300 payout for 9 correct. Best thing is I needed Stoke to win the last and after going 1 down they obliged...away. I still go dizzy thinking about it. :))
