For me it’s the most important day of the year so will be dressing up, going to some bars and then hitting a club.

Not doing anything this year as we are still unsure how I react in some situations so will have a quiet one just me hubby and the dogs
I will also be staying in. Watching Jools Holland with family and friends. Also watching the sky for fireworks!
Hate NYE, reminds me of what I don't have for another year. OH goes out with his brother. I go to bed.
Wonder who Jools will have on his Hootenanny this year, usually has at least one legend.
Thanks, jakep. There are three on on there that are definitely worth watching imo.
Every year we have Ruby. Looking forward to seeing Soul II Soul, Mavis Staples and George Macrae!
Love Beth Ditto too.
All that Sharon and Mamya mention.
I have never seen this programme. Am I missing something? For me, NYE 'entertainment' used to consist of the White Heather Club, Kenneth McKellar and Moira Anderson. In those days, of course, New Year was not an official holiday in England, though celebrated in the north.
Certainly worth a look Jack, you may not like everyone but bound to be something you appreciate.
No White Heather club now, jd ( although I remember it well. ).
Yes you are missing something, tune into Jools Hollands Hootenanny on new years eve.
Can't stand jools holland. I will be in bed before 11pm. Read a bit, then sleep. It's just another day.
I used to love NYE. Now it's just another day, just a bit louder with fireworks going off. I'll probably be watching Jools Holland while OH snoozes.
Ahh, great line up for Jools, thanks for the link!
Torquay for three nights on a coach trip.
Hope I cant walk a straight line haha
New Year's Eve is *always* Jool's Hootenanny & a phone call with the lady that rocks my world :-))
spending a quiet one at home i expect,
We (all the neighbours) used to have a huge Hogmanay Party every year when we got together for a night of laughter, music and drinkies. Sadly as the years have passed (we're all in our 70s now) our numbers have dwindled and I don't think anyone has the heart for it these days. Quiet night for me with my TV, a wee tipple and a heart full of happy memories.
