A noisy or quiet affair? Will it be something you're looking forward to? ... or dreading? Has anything changed for you this year that changes the way you will celebrate it .. good or bad? It's not a great time for everyone is it, can be a make or break time for people, may be a new journey for some as we head towards Christmas and in to a new year?

You too mamya x
Mamya, hope them who are offski to Edinburgh bring you back a sitck of rock and have a lovely time.
Those off to Prague - well, I have no idea what they could bring back for you :-D xx
(hope they also have a lovely time - and you as well)
have no idea what a sitck is - but it might be nice :-D

Mrs B is off to Norfolk to spend 4 or 5 days with Daughter, her partner and G/daughter from her first Marriage. I will drive her if the weather is good, if it isn't she'll go by train and daughter will come down and meet her at Stratford. I will be dog-sitting and looking after our long term guest.
have been invited to friends for Christmas Day.. as the day approaches I feel less inclined , this will be the first without mum or dad....think I'd prefer just to stay in jammies and watch telly..don't feel sparkly at all...
A stick of rock from Edinburgh!!?? Never!

Edinburgh Rock comes in wee boxes, is soft and slightly spicy as well as sweet.

You'll have had you tea? :-)
Just do what's right for you MM, I remember the day I realised I was an orphan and it felt weird, like I'd been cast adrift.

It's something we almost all go through, take care.x
minty
we promised to send each other birthday message, will certainly try at my brothers.
Minty, don't you have a partner to spend Christmas day with?
Alba, I would love to give it a go but I am not sure if I am up to it!!
Maybe by summer!
Son in law is doing the honours this year. All freshly cooked & no frozen tasteless junk!
Aaww Minty, shall be thinking of you....in fact, I'll stay in jamas to keep you company ;)We're just having a prick and pink ready meal.
Eleena, best wishes to you and yours

prick and ping!!
staying with my brother, seeing his 4 children, will likely see other brother and their adult children, so could be a busy time.
We've changed our plans and are staying home now. Luckily I did a 'just in case' shop.
I'm going to my aunt and uncles for dinner. Usually spend the day at my parents but as my brother and SIL are off to Iceland my mum wasn't going to do Xmas dinner. We're doing that NYE when they return.

You too Bathsheba.
Hi Eleena

A bit of both really....quiet and noisey affair. Got tonight off, then have gigs/ and radio shows tomorrow and Saturday morning, then off until New Years Eve, unless I get called in, to cover a colleague's show (hopefully not) ...then a massive function NYE....off New Years Day AKA( Recuperation Day) ...back working on the 2nd Jan.

For Christmas Day, out for dinner at a local pub/restaurant, then all main family, girlfriends, boyfriends, and a fair few friends at home here playing board games, and a 'little' house party, with Christmas tunes blasting away, accompanied by bad singing, for the last time this year( thank goodness )

Boxing Day... at some good friends for the day, at Port Solent, near Portsmouth....
then chillin' days in the week, probably a spot of shopping with Mrs Bear, who loves it with a passion, a film at the cinema( The Greatest Showman),skating, bowling etc with the family and friends, as ALL four children home for the Christmas break...

I wish you a lovely, and Happy Christmas, Eleena, to you and yours, and all my very Best Wishes for a fit, fine and funky New Year in 2018 x
