What should I do with an old computer?

I currently have a Windows 98SE Packard Bell PC (about 6 or 7 years old) which I have decided to change to something more suitable and modern. My question is, what should I do with the old computer? Can they be recycled somewhere? I don't think it is really worth selling to anyone but it does work perfectly well albeit without sound which has been a pain to try to sort out (i.e. can't find the right driver). Any suggestions?

If you contact your local council they will have or will point you to a facility that can dispose of old computer eqipment properly. This is nessescary because of the chemicals in things like the CRT monitor.
Alternatively you may wish to give your computer to a local school or other such organisation. they are always glad to recieve IT eqipment.
