Usb For Playing Music In The Car?

My dad wants something to play his music in the car because he is getting fed up faffing about with cds. I thought about putting songs on a USB drive but I'm not sure if he'll be able to browse through the songs on it or if they'll just play on a playlist. Any recommendations for what I could get for him?

My cars play (Ford Focus) has a usb facility just load your stick and away you go.It has all the things you'd expect on a music player menus individual discs, shuffle etc and according to the size of stick as much music as anybody will need.I usea 10 gig stick and I've about 30 cds on it.

It's a Nissan Qashqai 13 reg. It should be okay then. He's just a pain. Leaving it til 2 weeks before Christmas.... Putting the music on will be an ongoing thing!

I have just done this recently. Really easy to do I have a small usb stick think it is a 1gb and I have loads of CDs on it. Every now and then I take it in to house with me and remove songs I don't want or add others on. Love it no CDs to change or rake through.
