As regards food banks. Anything that is free will always be over subscribed. Just like the NHS.
dave50 , ^ I had to use a food bank once, they told me they always had far more food donated than they could possibly give away. Their problem was getting rid of what they had not the other way round. I suspect you and most others on AB have never needed to use a food bank. In my case it was because pension credit and working tax credit failed to inform each other the amount of my payment, so they just cancelled all my money. It took 7 weeks to sort out and in that time I needed the food bank just to eat.
Eddie, with all the high-flying jobs you’ve had I’m surprised you didn’t have a little put by for a rainy day.
