Tis more than an irritation to be honest. I'm friggin fuming with her, she's always losing stuff. I bet you pound to a penny, that the minute after I postpone her test and send off for a new license, she'll find that blommin purse.

My nephew 'forgot' to take his Prov. Driving Licence with him when he turned-up for his first test. He wasn't the most popular kid on the block!

My daughter lost her phone last weekend and had her card and license in the case. Idiot!

Then I get a phone call from my niece saying a taxi driver has just rang her saying he has my daughters phone. He came round with it, wouldn't take any money and it wasn't until after did we wonder how he managed to get into the phone to call the niece as it has a passcode.

Sorry, rocky, but bhg has hit the nail on the head.

At 17+ she needs to be sorting these things out for herself. I often hear people of 21 and over saying "Dad always does that for me" or "I always leave that to Mum". Absolutely ridiculous. Let her sort this particular problem herself. Let her decide whether to cancel or take the chance she'll find her purse. Let her meet the cost for a new test date and a new licence if she doesn't find it. It will concentrate her mind in the future.

Look down the back of the sofa cushions. Exactly this same problem happened to my son, and we found the thing disappearing down the divide in the upholstery between the back of the sofa and the seat. We still have no idea how it got there.

I think this site can confirm that a licence is valid and current with no disqualifications. Perhaps if she enters her details she could print the details and check if that is sufficient for the test centre.
