I think the wee fella's feeling left out of things and is going for a headline.
Remember he's a Prime Minister in waiting. :-)
jno - i always wince whenever i watch some of these property programmes and see the prices of properties in London .

E.g. a 1 bedroom studio flat .

Will there ever be a drop in property prices in the capital ?
"How are you proved right, TTT" - people are always moaning about traffic parking etc.
A few more minarets may have an effect on prices.
TTT...what has that got to do with poor people?
well if they were more expensive to own then poor people could not afford them and there would be less traffic. Geddit?
can't see it, Bazile, unless there's a nuclear holocaust, in which case I might be moving out anyway.
no quite honestly.
emmie; You may be confusing the number of those claiming disability benefits with those who are disabled. Why should there be such a larger number per head in any one location?
khandro, sorry it says disabled drivers, those in the capital are thousands, so what do they do with their cars if we got rid of them.
The fast food ban is "nanny state" legislation. Parents ought to ensure that their kids are getting the nutrition they need, and ensure they get sufficient that they don't feel a need to spend on further fast food. It's not the job of authority to impose personal desires and manipulation of citizens like that.

The parking space ban is again, government putting it's nose in where it ought not be. If he wants to reduce congestion then he ought to be in discussions with companies to ensure a spread of jobs throughout the country, and thus spread the load. Not that he would see this obvious sensible move as being what he really should be doing, the job isn't about taking the longer view to sort things properly. Or he could be campaigning for smaller families and less immigration, as fewer people means fewer cars. Or he could be telling town planning that housing, facilities, and workplaces ought to be sited within easy reach of each other to minimise commuting, and asking what the hell were they thinking having the jobs hours away from the homes.
No to both, it’s a well known fact that teenagers can’t walk more than 400 metres to get their fast food lunches with most teenagers being hit with crippling fatigue and gasping for breath before admitting defeat and turning back for a school salad, lol

Parking? He’s doing a great job in angering and infuriating Londoners and I predict a riot soon and his office and his people get-overthrown And a new Mayer who’s fast food and parking friendly elected, lol
This is a ban on new fast food outlets which, if he's allowing existing shops to stay, is pretty pointless really.
1 No 2 No

1 We had a problem with lunch-times at my last school, but it wasn't just fast-food, kids were getting 'whizz'(which made some afternoon lessons interesting!). Solved by staggered, very short (30 min) lunch-breaks (made for complicated timetables, but there you go) and a rule about not leaving the grounds, enforced by locked gates and staff on duty at the main entrance and patrolling. It is up to the school to solve, in other words.

2 The point about disabled drivers is well made. Also, whilst people have good, alternative transport links inside London - they may regularly need to drive OUT of London, perhaps to visit family.
The point about disabled drivers is well made

did you notice that Sadiq made it himself?
No, I was referring to other answers. It makes no difference.
so its a no on both counts in truth.
I thought I'd said that, emmie. Sorry if I had misread, dashing in and out and had a long, cold session chasing and catching a duck (another story).
If I lived and worked in London I'd probably do without a car, so I don't really see a problem with that one.
Ludwig what if you’re a taxi, min cab driver or a workman with a van???
