When you get to a certain age and you need glasses to see medium to long distance, what do you do with them when you need to read something close. Put them on top of your head or peer over the top of the glasses? Which makes you look older, or doesn't it matter by now?

First of all....no, it doesn't matter !

Don't make it worse by buying those awful chains and putting your glasses on the ends....that REALLY make you look old !
the chains stop the glasses falling off and getting walked on (or vanishing into the sea if you're on a boat). Utility is more important than beauty.
A Teacher of mine, when I was 7 years old, has those chain thingys and I have had a horror of them ever since.
I don't need distance lenses, just reading lenses. I put my glasses on when I'm reading and take them off when I'm not.
