Mobile Phone Not Charging

been having this problem for months, sometimes it will charge to 100 percent. then like now only 45 percent and its been on for hours. is there anything to be done or do i buy another phone.

Where did you buy the replacement battery?

my sister in law bought it for me as i am somewhat immobile.
that was in Sussex so not in London where i am based.

i was down there for a week, having to get a taxi all the way, which was ridiculously expensive, but no choice.

it was bought from one of the phone outlets, so not off a stall.

Take battery out. Wrap in paper towel and tea towel. Put in deep freeze for 2 hours. Put ice cold battery in mobile. Recharge. This smooths out the positive and negative ions in the battery. Being cold induces fast electric flow.
If that not work, go on YouTube and type in 'what battery for a XXXX mobile/cell phone'. It could be wrong sort. Bound to be a geek with an answer. If that fails search on line for 'new battery for XXXX mobile/cell.
