I have a laptop which I'm using now, but I much prefer to use my Desktop PC. I've not been able to use it these last few days, as it won't get past Starting Windows. I've no idea what to do, will I need to take it to be looked at or is it a simple thing I might be able to do myself? Thanks in advance.

Fingers crossed it now seems ok. I went to safe mode networking and a help and support page popped up. I clicked on system restore and went back to 10th Nov and left it. Slowly but surely, it finally came back to exactly as it was before. Thanks again guys. x
Wheww. Now run the scans and check the system before logging out and switching off. Haha kin computas, enough to drive(intended) us mad.
Take out the Battery and clean the jack battery with Dry cotton clothes and put it again in a laptop and start again.

This happened to me just a couple of days ago. My laptop stopped working: sometimes it just showed a black screen, sometimes it didn't open apps. And so it was repeated for several days until I turned to the repair master. He told me that the problem was that the internal memory of the laptop was full of system garbage and unnecessary files that interfered with the full operation of the device. He recommended that I use https://thinkmobiles.com/blog/best-registry-cleaner-tools/ in order to clear in one click all the unnecessary things that have accumulated in it over all these years of continuous operation
