having the washing machine go awol, i discovered i couldn't think of a way to wash clothes if i didn't have one. There is the laundrette i suppose but that is expensive now and too much faffing about.

We didn't have a washing machine- or anything- for six weeks in France a few times. It was only the washing machine we missed.

My washing machine and tumble dryer. I have a dishwasher but do the dishes by hand most of the time.

I know its not really an appliance but at the moment my mobile as I've got an AA app on and my car broke down last night when I went to pick Little Tiggs up from boys brigade!!
