My late husband and myself made Property Trust Wills and now since is death my name and that of our two daughters are on the Land Registry. However I am thinking of moving next year (I know this is okay) but not sure if I have to buy another freehold property or if I move into an apartment which would obviously be leasehold, would this be a problem with the Land Registry.

The Land Registry wont be interested either way. All they are concerned with is registration of the legal title (and any encumbrances) of that property.

You need to check the terms of the trust deed. There may be exclusions on what kind of property you can buy (Eg x years' lease unexpired).
