....but he will if he reads this....

Fancied a bacon butty so we called at the little Tesco and I invited Dave to join me for some supper....
Tesco only had Danish which isn't great so I cooked the whole packet in the air fryer and dished up the shrivelled crispy bacon in some rolls.....

Just went to put the air fryer in to soak and there.....sitting in it was one of my little gold earrings.......

With my lousy eyesight and after a glass of red Dave could have eaten a bacon and gold earring butty......

Great end to the evening that would have been..... :-(

Dammit, Chris! I could have posted Dave's xray!.... :-)
Hi gness, I've never cooked bacon in the Actifry, never thought of it. What's the verdict on it?
What's wrong with Danish bacon? I think it's very tasty.
Question Author
Fantastic, Caran especially if you have good thick bacon.....you can layer it up and it cooks really well.... I will buy a rack for layering....
Tonight's bacon was Danish back so I chucked all of it in.....gave it the odd wiggle and it was very good.....well as good as you can make Danish....x
Thanks gness, will give it a try.
Have you ever cooked sausages in it?
Question Author
It's a bit flabby and watery, Jack......I like the dry cured English.....x
I agree with you there. Dry-cured every time for me.
Question Author
Oh yes, Caran......they cook sausages really well....I'll do baked potatoe and then chuck some sausages on top for the last thirty minutes....
My air fryer doesn't have a paddle....I think yours does?
Yes mine has the paddle. It shouldn't make any difference though should it?
Question Author
Done a George Bush there.... :-(

Didn't have a choice tonight , Jack......my mini Tesco has more empty shelves than choices.....x
Question Author
I doubt it, Caran....can you disable it? I've never used one with a paddle.....does it reduce what you can cook in it?
I can just not put it in, but I think it would work better with the paddle as the contents are continually being turned over so cook more fully.
Question Author
That's true, Caran....though I don't have to turn sausages or potatoes......the just cook so well and evenly....and you know me......as little effort in the kitchen as possible.... :-)
Me too!! Though breakfast is OH'S job, I do evening meal. But I will tell him about Actifry for bacon and sausage.
Question Author
