I Thought I Had Successfully Transfered My Photo Library And Then Asked A Company To Delete My C Drive

i thought i had copied my photo library from my laptop to a safe storage...then had a company clear my c drive....later i discoved id been mistaken and i had lost about 7 yrs worth of pictures...is it possible to rescue this situation please?

Depends on how it was cleared, but as you paid an external company I suspect they'd have been very thorough. Specialist companies may be able to do a forensic recovery but the cost would be exorbitant. Unless you have a back-up, probably best forget it.

That stated it doesn't hurt to spend an evening giving it a try. Just don't write/install anything to the drive.

best of luck. I can't offer any better advice, but next time get an external hard drive or something of the sort that you can plug in and copy everything over to it. And then possibly another one and do it again and keep it somewhere different.
