Iphone 4S Won’T Pick Up Emails

My last email on my iPhone is back in August, although my iPad is up to date (so it’s not the connection in the house).
Any thoughts?

In addition, my neighbour and I share our respective ‘online addresses - don’t know what the correct name is’, and nothing when I log on to her’s either.
The phone is pretty old. Nearly 7 years. Dying a death?

This says remove and add again. Maybe worth a try if your device is old.
