in the washing machine. I have had to get the engineers in for mine, he's fixed it so that's good, but he said the heating element was full of limescale.
if there a product that you can put in the drawer where you put the powder.
Calgon perhaps, or is there anything else.

A tablespoon of soda crystals in the drawer every time you use it will help keep limescale at bay

There is a product called Aqua Softna which does the same job as Calgon at a fraction of the price. Lots of shops sell their own-brand version (Sainsbury, Tesco, Wilko etc.) even cheaper. It's an improvement on washing-soda (not as highly alkaline so kinder to clothes). Here's Wilko's version......

I have used a Calgon tablet in every wash since I bought my washing machine 10yrs ago. I have never used the drawer for either the Calgon tablets or the Ariel pods. They go straight into the tub together with a spoonful of Vanish. Great wash every time with no stains and no limescale.
