Hi everyone! ♫ Here we are again, happy as can be, Internationals over, back to real footy! ♫

Sorry, not sure what happened there...

Anyhoo, off we go on the next round of fun, mishaps 'n' mayhem, with Game Week 10 starting tomorrow @ 12:30, Sunday @ 13:30 & there's an evening game on Monday 16th.

Thanks to Arky for his post of the League standings as at 5th October -

I intend to be making rapid upward progress - whether my teams agree with that is yet to be seen, of course...

Good luck & have fun, everyone! :-)

If after four away games you haven't scored any goals, you're unlikely to have many points

*Spanner in the works* alert!

In case anyone's missed the news today -

"Harry Kane will miss the trip to Old Trafford due to a minor strain to his left hamstring..."

Fewer points for many, I suspect.

Here endeth the alert for today.

They didn't change positions, they just moved the players around
Terry Venables
Phew! Makes life simpler up against De Gea for me on both FF and the actual League whether to drop him or not.

There's no in between, you're either good or bad.
We were in between.

Evening Lie In. I have just logged on after being out most of the day. Visit to Liverpool for my annual CT scan. I had been keeping my eye on that report all week and I suppose for some it resolves a dilemma regarding Captain choices or line up when the match involved is taken into account. For now I am keeping my powder dry and will wait until last minute before deciding whether to change the cunning plan I had half formulated. I have enjoyed my spot in the sun but am expecting Rob's Robbers to come roaring back. Appreciate the heads up anyway.

"James Tarkowski has got no hairs and graces." Paul Merson.
Hi Arks you were not there when I started to post. Bet you are relieved. :))
Indeed :-) I wish no ill on the lad, however I'm not upset he's not playing tomorrow.

Hi all - I've only just thought to check on last weekend's tally for my 2 teams - 51 pts each. Yup, 51. 51. No, it doesn't sound better the more I say it. 51. Sigh.

Well done to anyone that managed a halfway-decent score, it's back to the drawing board Saturday morning for me!

There was nothing wrong with the performance, apart from throwing away the game
Glenn Hoddle
Morning Lie In King, 44 and 56 for me. Frustrating weekend. I think I managed to pick up every yellow card. This weekend looks like one heavily reliant on a Sunday shoot out of big hitters. Saturday only features one team in the top "echelon" so I will be looking for good defensive performances and hopefully surprise points from the lesser lights. Will not be doing anything serious on Saturday methinks but will be paying attention to the Sunday selections and likely line ups. Harry Kane still doesn't look 100% to me, judging by last nights game and his perceived reluctance to be at full tilt. Wait and see on that one.

"The Newcastle game was unacceptable. But as players we accept that." Joe Hart.
Hi Fella's, It seems it was a pretty average weekend all round, I just about kept the pace with 60 and 56 points I thought it'd be more pitiful than it actually were. I also won't be changing much for Saturday (Probably A L'pool player as captain, I feel dirty!) As Togo says the big hitters play On Sunday. Hope the games are as good as they look as fixtures.

For those of you watching in black and white, Spurs are in the all yellow strip.
John Motson.
Hi all, upto third in our league... who'd have funk it choosing a L'pool player as captain was a good call afterall. Now back to proper football today ;-) I'm keeping an eye on Mighty though 'It's a marathon not a sprint'.
I'll post our League tomorrow as the Internationals will be upon us again. Good luck to you all, but not too much ;-)

Strangely, in slow motion replay, the ball seemed to hang in the air for even longer.
David Acfield
I really ought to be shot.
I watched Spurs play last week without Keane ... he is in my team yet I never substituted him.

I'm currently watching Spurs play without Alli or Lloris ... they are in my team and guess what?

minimum ... I should be tasered.

ZZZZAP! ;-)

♫ Well, long tall Salah, he's built for speed
He's got everything that a manager need... ♫

(Apologies to Little Richard et al...)

98 & 89 points for my teams this weekend & upward movement in the table, so I'm a smidge happier, although I was let down all over the pitch by players that have been doing reasonably well.

Don't forget that this thread will cease to show in LP after the 13th - I'll get a new one going on Friday 17th ready for the restart on the 18th after the International break.

Winning all the time is not necessarily good
