When people pretend for a living and there is an unending supply of people willing to do pretty much anything for their shot on the screen bumping up against those with the power to grant wishes in return for satisfying whatever appetite they have there's always going to be abuse.
None of that excuses perpetrators but few if any of us have been or will be in a position with that kind of power to know how we'd behave.
If there were no limits, as it were.
