Theres a pub in Bristol called Auntie's. The story is that it used to be the local for the doctors at Bristol Royal Infirmary. Tnd I conhey could say in front of patients that they were going to see Auntie after work.

Dh and I considered running a pub. it was before gastro pubs were so popular but we could see that running an out of town pub and relying on drinks alone was not going to work. We planned to make and sell excellent pies cooked to order. If you have the fillings all cooked and ready and the pastry tops cut, it doesn't take long to assemble a pie in an individual dish and cook it. We were going to call it Simon's.

Anybody who wants the idea is welcome to it.....it was when DH's employment prospects looked shaky and we were looking at what else we might do. Neither of us wanted to run a pub, having done it for the in laws.
