Don't know about anyone else but my grass is growing like crazy, this year!.
My theory is, that much of the rain fell during thunder storms and therefore was rich in nitrogen, making the grass grow lush and emerald green.
I've had to raise the cutter blades up a couple of notches, just to get through it!.
To be honest I'm looking forward to a touch of frost, to keep it in check.

It's certainly growing like crazy in our guttering. There's probably enough for a bale of hay. Fortunately, we have a chap coming round next week, to sort it out.
Don't get baldric to do it,Tilly :-)
Mine can be best described as rapacious!

I fear a repeat of last year:-

Last cut = Fri 16/12.
Sent mower in for service = Mon 18/12.
Go on holiday = Wed 20/12.
Return from holiday = Fri 06/01

Grass grown approx 4 inches and mower not returned until end of following week.

Result; I was furious - especially since the green waste bin collections had been suspended from beginning of December until Mid February!!

More importantly, I'm not going to do it even though I'm the one who goes up ladders!

I'm confused. Why would a thunderstorm make rain rich in nitrogen ?
Rain doesn't have any nitrogen in it - just two bits of hydrogen and a bit of oxygen i.e. H2O
Maybe Chipchopper's grass has been rained on by "cats & dogs" which is rich in Nitrogen!
That's a problem or possibility Flonska lol

Sorry my mistake OG, I meant Nitrates ^.
Still, its a job to keep on top on it though!
It's wet and warm, simple as that. Perfect grass growing conditions.
was hoping last cut had been done..might do a lighter Hover cut when it is dry enough

I've not seen it so lush and green for many a year.
And its still growing like wildfire, what with all this rain!
Mower on standby ;-)
