Bought two tyres last week from Halfords

I've noticed that there are no tyre hairs on them .

Should they have the tyre hairs on them to show that they are new ?

'Tyre hairs' should be 'Rubber hairs' , in the above
Perhaps they are just very good at housekeeping.

Rubber hairs as you describe could still be present on old tyres, so is no way to check.

So, should the hairs be on the tyres i bought , which is supposed to be new ?
There is a 4-digit code on the tyrewall, of the form WWYY, where WW is the week number and YY is the year ie, 0317 means manufactured in week 3 2017.
I'd be surprised if a company like Halfords are peddling used tyres as new. I don't think they all have "hairs" these days, depends on the moulding machine.
my new uniroyal had no hairs on depends on manufacturer
