I know burglary has been considered a low-level crime for some time now, but having been a burglary victim I can assure you it feels like anything but, so my question is do the police have their priorities in order?

I'm sure the recent £1.5m cost to come to the conclusion that Ted Heath would have been questioned will have Heath quaking in his boots.....oh, hang on, it won't, and that as Weinstein allegedly sexually assaulted some actresses on UK soil no doubt a vast amount of money will be spent investigating this even though there is zero chance of him facing trial in the UK.

I accept it's difficult to capture a burglar, but does it being difficult mean they shouldn't at least try?

danny 08.59 - you forgot 'Locally appointed', or was that intentional.
There seems to be some who blame the cuts on the Tories. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it the last Labour Government under Blair and the Scottish one who got us into this rather deep hole of excrement.
well darn sarf
Zummerzet and Affon police
coupla million cost and 2% solved and a handful of change recovered - so spending it on Ted Heath may be a better way forward
I suppose, Peter, at least we can make soup with the bones when they dig it all up.
