Well did anyone have any issues after the storm yesterday?
We lost 2 trees and several roof tiles and a load of lead flashing!
Landlady on the ball and the roofers are out already putting scaffolding up in prep for tomorrow to fix the issues.
They have also cut up trees ready for me to store the logs for drying for the fires - what brilliant service is that?

Glad you were unscathed, Ducksie.
Your friend in Clare is right - Storm Brian is about to land on Friday mid morning
Thank you Tilly, I won't lie, I was scared - I'm fine now :)
We got off lightly, just strong winds and lots of sand and leaves everywhere.
the wind howling is the most right wing.

(oh, I love it, love it!!) xx

Wonder what political doodah Brian will be?

We seemed to have escaped a lot of strong gusts, thankfully.

Am glad your landlady is on the ball Islay. xx
Ducksie, do hope your repairs will be sooner rather than later xx

Love it, fat alba :)))
we didn't have a storm as such, but the sky went this freaky orange hue then black for the rest of the day. I had to put the lights on at 3pm, which is virtually unheard of in my household.
I thought these storms and hurricanes were names alphabetically. Why have we gone from Ophelia to Brian?

Clover because Hurriacaines are named by the Americans and storms by the Irish and Brits - I believe
I think Brian is our own home-grown UK & Ireland storm and not the remnants of Ophelia.
Glad everyone is ok sounded horrendous weather
been out picking up debris , uprighting pots chairs etc... a few tiles ..but not mine..blown in from somewhere... not as bad as I had feared..very still now wet and mild.....
grey, wet and overcast now..

We have glorious sunshine now so keeping the dogs entertained in the back field whilst the builders work at the front.
