Sean Hughes Rip

He's been ill in hospital, apparently.

I always made a point of watching him on the TV.

Seems too young to have passed on. :(

RIP Sean. Such sad news. I'm in the middle of watching The Last Detective and he certainly adds to the comedy. Gone but will be remembered.

I have read on this thread heart attack or liver cirosis.

Did he have personal issues such as drinking ?

Or just unlucky with his health.

While I was on heart ward last month for a week (hospital did not wetevto deposit me with my possible infection or virus with my reduced immune system ), I saw a selection of heart condition patients. One was only 28 !
Clotting on lung causing heart to slow down.
They removed clotting , it needed to know why someone so young had this issue after a chest infection.

Some patients made it , others were moved to bay 4 opposite nurse station and didn't. You did not want to be moved to bay 4 lol
One chap next to me would shout swear words in night and try and get out of bed. During day he was ok/
But they moved him. I internally celebrated , but he ended up,on bay 4 , had a second massive attack and died .

Anyway on such a cheerful thread , he I'm ok posting this :-)

Such a shame. I loved him in his sitcom, where he played a (possibly fictionalised) version of himself. A great talent.

Oh that is a shock. I liked him too and thought he wasn't on TV enough.

I've had a pint with him a few times in the past, and he was very nice and funny in real life. Sad loss.
