What do women look for in a man?

What qualities do women look for in a man? Obviously, you can't make absolute generalisations...i.e. the quality that one woman looks for, may not be true for another female.

But, on the whole, what do you look for in a man - what would attract you to a male, either as a friend, or a potential partner?

Is it always a 'nice personality?' Or is there something more to it?

A sense of humour does it for me and no shallowness and i like well formed hands for a deeper relationship they have to have a submissive nature but thats personal to me !!! lol
Anyone that makes me smile and laugh out loud. I hate blokes that love themselves.
well look at you lovely ladies....
enough about you, look at me !!!!
i know you want me...
grab a dozen ribbed condoms, ive got a couple of hours spare...
LOL....
SORRY !!!

Thank god :-) as I said I dont like blokes that love themselves lol x
I like a man to been kind and sensitive, one who doesn't mind shedding a tear now and then. I love a bit of romance but nothing too gushing. I appreciate a man who can make me laugh, very important, and one who always puts his family first.
GSOH come up every time this question is asked.....

So any of you guys out there, unsure why you can't 'pull', there's your answer!!

the other 3: Politeness, compassionate, generous....
1. Sense of humour
2. Intelligent
3. Gentle, caring nature
4. Extra naughtiness gene - ie fun to be with
5. Modest
6. Cool on domestic front.
...and a big todger :o)
I haven't got any ribbed ones, funkymoped, but I could throw a handful of grit into a regular one?

I look for (in no particular order):

- humour
- intelligence/wit
- free thinking
- sexiness
- fun disposition
- high sex drive
- kinky!
i definately have a weakness to guys who can make me laugh and have a good sense of humour. cant stand arrogance or shallowness either!!
Well, I've already got a bloke, but if I was looking for another one, my choice would be based on how easily I could speak to him, how he reacts when I do (is he interested in what I'm saying, or does he just want a good gawp at my t*ts). He'd have to be clean ( ie not spotless, but just not unreasonably smelly or dirty), open-minded and of similar intelligence to me.

For me, it's these things that combine to make a 'nice personality', and things like common ground for conversation, personal views or levels of intelligence will have different meanings for everyone. So the man whom I consider to have a 'nice personality', some women would detest.
Champers, sand is better than a ham shank with a piece of sand paper !!

:-)
1. Good looks ( I like classic eg Josh Holloway and kooky eg James Walsh or Noel Fielding)
2.Good Hair an absolute must
3. Good physique (either tall and awkward or rugby player) but definitely 5ft10 plus.
4. good sense of humour but not the sort that will have you cringing in a couple of months
5. A provider
6. Energy
7. fun and adventure
8. a good heart
9. It is absolutely essential my man is team player, be it rugby, football or hockey I dont give a stuff but they tend to make the best boyfriends.
10. Clean
11. sexual compatability
OMG - Pippa you just had to say it didnt you....??

Theres always one......... that has to state the obvious!! Lol ;o/

Why is it difficult to find a kind, caring, loving man??

They already have boyfriends....
our wallets
Well someone had to angel..LOL.

Very true lovey..very true!
This "good sense of humour... must be able to make me laugh out loud" stuff... why does it come top of the list so often?

Another one that's come up a few times is "fun" but that's become such a horrible vague term these days I don't really know what it means anymore.

Also, I'm intrigued to see if anyone says they DON'T want "sensitivity" and "gentle caring nature". I know there are women who despise these qualitites in men and seem to not mind being treated badly by insensitive, selfish, "unreconstructed" men. But perhaps none of those women post on AB.
