Saw this non-story on the BBC web site.

There are people all over the world living in terrible conditions or caught up in a war zone or a major flood or hurricane.

But these people get upset and cause a huge fuss just because they could not get their Szechuan sauce !!

Perhaps they should go and live in Africa for a few weeks to see what some people have to put up with.

Personal disappointment is more real to an individual than far away disaster to others. It's a "human interest" story, which folk are interested in reading. You get plenty of them in the media. One can't reasonably equate the two issues referred to.
