Put up or shut up.

Personally I don't think it is all about leadership. I think it is about Remainers trying to undermine Brexit as it isn't going thier way.

Even Labour opposition to Corbyn has dried up. Not necessarily because those originally against him have changed thier minds. They just see him as a useful idiot to getting themselves into power. But at least they are silent rather than still moaning.

May's performance as PM has hardly been a shining example of how to lead, but it could be a lot worse. To hold a contest now would be as big a gamble as holding an election and then failing to campaign.

I don't have an axe to grind really, but I think that 'better the devil you know' if one wishes to minimalise risk. She, at least, appears to now accept Brexit, and just needs keeping an eye on in case she starts offering even more concessions to an intransigent EU negotiation team and throwing more of our money at them.

Brexit is a major part of a PM's leadership responsibility at the moment. Change the leader and one risks the country being sold out completely by a remainer PM, and that would be a disaster, and would ensure the issue would need revisiting, with all the resultant chaos, for years and/or decades to come.
Krom, But apart from Mr Corbyn’s impossible promises, Mr McDonnell has told us that should Labour succeed in taking office there will be a run on the pound. Scary stuff, but none of it fazes Labour supporters. Bizarrely, it makes them ‘lol’.
naomi, if she had not called the election, she would now be leading the UK into Brexit with a working majority. There would be no knives out for her at all and labor would still be floundering . It was not just a huge mistake it was a total catastrophe !
Eddie...yes, of course you are right !

This is all Mays fault...she can't shift the blame for her present dire position onto anybody else. We could, of course, lay some of the blame, at the feet of all those that enthusiastically voted for her in June.
It's also worth stating that a big part of the election result was May herself. She made the campaign personal, she was consistently invidious and spiteful toward her opponent, she changed the manifesto halfway through and insisted she hadn't. She went in with a double digit lead and still lost.

Now, those aren't the only reasons the result came about. But they are a significant part of it - and they relate directly to leadership. Not Remainers vs Brexiteers (indeed it is a Brexiteer who is now causing her most trouble),but about her leadership skills. Or lack thereof.
Eddie, that’s exactly what I said.

Mikey, //she can't shift the blame for her present dire position onto anybody else//

What are you talking about? She hasn’t tried to shift the blame. She’s claimed full responsibility.

//We could, of course, lay some of the blame, at the feet of all those that enthusiastically voted for her in June.//

I think you’ll find (as I’ve told you many times before) that Conservative voters vote for the party – not for the person. Cooo, isn’t Jeremy lucky that Labour voters are so easily influenced by rabble rousing speakers!
That Brexiteer not only has an ulterior motive to do so, they also have valid concerns over the concessions offered by the PM so far. He may even share some ABers' view that Brexit may be derailed. He legitimately states his interpretation of government policy to try to avoid that eventuality.
Naomi...in that case, you voted for the wrong Party, led by the Wrong Leader.

You have made your bed, so now lie in it !
Mikey, in what case? What are you talking about? I'm not unhappy with the choice I made.
//That Brexiteer not only has an ulterior motive to do so, they also have valid concerns over the concessions offered by the PM so far.//

Erm yes I'm sure Boris Johnson is doing it all out of principle :/
