Hi guys,

I made my first sale on the 20th of September and have been scammed. Was told to by the scammer tosend a money request on Paypal. Later received a notification from Paypal saying I’d have to send the the parcel by post and send the receipt and tracking number as proof so I can get paid as the money was claimed to be held by them.
My question is can I still stop the parcel from being delivered as it’s now currently at the oversees postal service in the uk ready for delivery in Nigeria?

Don't think there's anything you can do about the post, Frank.

You can try pleading your case to eBay and Paypal and see if they'll look kindly on your plight but it's a long, weary slog dealing with them.

I don't even send to Ireland any more, UK only.
I don't fully understand what has happened here. Has the buyer cancelled the purchase or claimed the item hasn't been received?
Anyway, you can't stop the parcel now it's on its way. Did you use atracking facility when you sent it? If not it's too late now.
I stopped selling on ebay outside UK a while ago
^(I do do Ireland though)
No you can't stop it. Once a parcel or letter is handed to the Post Office it becomes their property until it is delivered when it becomes the property of the recipient .
I don't think the message from paypal was genuine but you still can't get the parcel back.
I too would log in to Paypal to check that the message appears in your paypal account .
I sell 30 or 40 items a month on eBay most to overseas. It is no harder or more risky than selling to the UK as long as you stick to eBay / paypal rules.
But please keep up your UK only selling , it means I can often buy items from a UK only seller and sell them on at a profit to an overseas buyer.
'Nigeria' should have sounded alarm bells. It is well known for scams originating there. It looks like you have lost the goods.
Rather than refuse to sell overseas at all, you can set your eBay account to not sell to specific countries. A lot of people block sales to Nigeria and similar places with a bad reputation but still sell to other countries.
does anyone on here use the ebay service to sell abroad? You send your parcel to a UK address and ebay do the rest. I used it once by accident and found it very good but wonder if I was lucky?
