G'day! Spent most of this morning looking through old papers, cuttings etc, and, yes, it was the Allan Ramsay Hotel we played at - at least three times. Can't remember much about it (the name doesn't ring any bells at all), save that it seemed a long way back to Glasgow, and there might have been a deer's head mounted on the wall. I see it's still there....

Ha ha that would be telling....
Strange what one does/does not remember. A couple of months ago I went to Northampton to see the Mackintosh house, and answered 'no' when my friend asked me if I'd been to Northampton before. This morning on looking through all the cuttings and list of gigs I'd written down, I discovered I'd played at Northampton Cricket Club! I have absolutley NO recollection of that, at all. Okay, it was a long time ago, but still...
if you were amateur you'd remember The Dukes ?

Don't remember The Dukes, but you're in the right era (!) We weren't amateur - Carlops was in the early days, before we got a record deal.
