I have installed my spare sky+ hd box in another room but only one feed from LMB satellite dish. I find although I get all "free to view" channels to watch, but unable to record for later viewing. Can anyone tell me how to enable this facility please? I bought a Sky card from eBay which proved to be useless and Sky didn't want to help at all. All help appreciated. Tel.

Unless you pay Sky money you wont be able to do any recording.

A Sky box without a valid Sky card (contract) cannot use any of the "extra" facilities (record, download, watch later etc)

Am I able to get a legitimate card. I remember having a £10 card many years ago and I believe the fee increased recently. Unfortunately I have not been able to locate the appropriate Sky department. Thanks. Tel
You used to be able to subscribe to Sky Multiroom for £10. However I remember reading that they no longer do this unless you upgrade to Sky Q.
You'll need to set the box to only have 1 input - single feed mode

Guilbert53 has it right here.

4 years ago, I decided that I had paid SKY more than enough money over the years and cancelled my subscription. But the following day, I still had free-to-view, but had lost everything else.
