Hi all,
Here's our new thread for August - previous thread is here: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1557914.html

How is everyone getting on? My partner and I have started going for a walk every Sunday morning, weather permitting - eventually we will work our way up to running!

Yay ! Brilliant.
Well done xstitcher .I have not lost an ounce but ok with that as long as I don't gain .
Up yet again. This time 0.2 lbs (for both the whole week, and the last 24 hours).
Good morning all, I'm down one pound and very pleased. I did try weighingnevery day but so gave it up as it varied so much. Once a week suits me.
Morning.

Despite going down 0.4 over the last 24 hours, I'm still UP ANOTHER 0.2 lbs for the week. And these are the summer months. unbelievable.

>:-(
Bit late I thought I had posted earlier brain must have blanked out anyway scales have not moved .I am beginning to think they are stuck . Think this means I must try harder .well done again xstitcher .

Good morning all,

I stayed the same this week. I didn't expect that but I know that weight swings a lot so I'm not feeling bad about it but do miss the high feeling. I haven't strayed off the straight and narrow so it will be okay.
I was expecting to go down over the last 24 hours, but have gone up :-(

So, I too, have stayed the same for the week.
another stay the same but ok with that as long as I don't gain .
I don't know where my head was on Wednesday morning because I didn't stay the same I went down a pound. I can see I stayed the same as a sneak peek I had on Monday.
O_G, you're still getting on the scales every day. Once a week will give you a better idea of how it's going, as you've been told many times. Get off those scales! :)

I've found I'm the same weight whether I'm off or on my diet, so - guess what! - I'm off it. I'm not a big eater anyway so a little of everything does me fine.
OG I've been a consultant for Slimming World and the absolute worst thing you can do it weigh yourself every day. Weight can fluctuate so much it's ridiculous. Pick just one day a week and stick to that, and the. At the end of the month see how you've done over the 4 weeks. It's the only realistic way to do it.
My weight goes up every time I have a cup of tea. I've had three cups this morning!
Exactly Tilly. That's my whole point. My weight can change by 4lbs from one day to the next. I haven't gained 4lb in actual body fat! It's just I've drank far more fluid etc,
I've replied many times that weighing myself daily doesn't change the trend of my changing weight, it just keeps me in the dark all week.
