Blocking Someone On Googlemail

Hi everyone, I use Googlemail and one person keeps sending me messages that I do not want and do not reply to.
Does anyone know if and how I can block this user and prevent these messages? They are from a private email account, not a company.

Mark one as spam may do the trick. Or you could create a rule to send any from that address direct to trash

Open a mail from the person you want to block.
Click on the tiny downward pointing arrow next to the date, scroll down the list and click 'block'
