Deleting An Email Account From Gmail

Now that I have an app on my phone to view my GMX email account (thanks buenchic for the app link), I no longer want my gmx emails "collected" by gmail. When I went to delete the gmx address from my gmail account it gave the following message. "Removing this account will delete all of its messages, contacts and other data from the phone". I am presuming such messages and contacts will still exist when I log in to gmx itself???? Aside from messages and contacts what does "other data" refer to in that warning message? Thanks
