Especially those ones that embarrassed your parents would be good!

Two of my first memories came when I was three, the parents taking me and my newborn sis to Callander and Loch Katrine, the memory of going on the steamer there and then hopscotching on what I thought was an ocean of tartan carpet in reception and the public areas of the hotel.

The same year, summer time, we went down to visit the grandparents here in Cornwall and on day 2 from the Lakes, (remember the 1st part of the M6 was just opening around Preston and that was it), they stopped at this swanky restaurant in Street, Somerset...

I can remember sitting down, the table topped with a lace tablecloth and all adorned with various silver and glass accessories.

Anyway, the soup came, either asparagus or pea, (it was green), and it was super hot to a 3 year old's palate. My mother (her fault) told me to blow on it, so with a major draw in of breath, as if a trumpet player, I let it out to launch a tsunami wave of soup over this white lace.....

As I said, the mater's fault. Unfortunately, she can't remember it now but I can remember them being mortified and having to explain the faux pas to the owner!

Over to you.....

When I went to nursery school. They got the beds out after lunch and we all had to have a nap...I must have been about 4 years old. Earlier in the day I'd taken a shell from the nature table. Anyway, I couldn't sleep and was bored so shoved it up my nose.... What followed was a bit of a farce. I remember my Mum coming and being all upset...Eventually they made me sniff white pepper and I sneezed what seemed like a massive shell down my nose...I got a smacked bum for that one!
I must have been only two as I went to stay with an auntie while mum had my new baby sister. There is 2 years and 3 months between us. I remember walking around what seemed to be an overgrown garden looking down at my little red Wellington boots. I remember this awful smell of dogs muck. I apparently stood in their dogs do doos! I remember auntie taking said boots off and upstairs washing my hands of what was the lovely smell of imperial leather!
