Using Windows 7. Have written long document in Word. Need to save to disc, at least twice, to separate discs. In old versions of Windows it was just a case of "Save as . . " and the options were displayed. Now I can't for the life of me find out how to do it. Needless to say, the "help" facility is useless.
And if you need me to provide more information, you are going to have to tell me where to find it.

Tried right clicking the 'doc' and select 'Send to' and then select to 'DVD RW drive'?
Make sure you have a writeable CD in the drive.
Save As should still be there but failing that just save as normal then find the doc and drag it to the device you want it on via "my computer" etc.

An odd thing happened here. I tried what you said ( when I had worked out exactly what you meant) and it worked. However, when the computer asked me if I wanted to do the same again, I said yes, and put in a fresh disc. In response I got "there is no disc in the drive". And I got the same message for the whole pack of discs. All ten of them. They all look the same, they all look alright to me, they have never been used before, though they have been hanging around for a bit.
you could use this

they may be new disks, but have you formatted them?

(don't ask me, I've got no idea!)
