Moving Licence Plate To Windscreen

If the licence plate is removed from the front of the car and placed in the windscreen area (where it's partially obscured by the wipers etc.) and fill the holes it was secured into, is this an offence or legal?

Yes...because it can't be easily read.
I see lots of cars being driven about like that, Zebby.
Usually tarted up Golf's, Clio's and such like.
Hi, my brother in law did just this as his kept getting stolen because of how it read. Police told him he had to put one back on in the right place or they would prosecute. He changed his car in the end.
